This is the Edmonton Courthouse that was built in 1912 and torn down in 1972. The oak banisters from the courtroom were salvaged and stored in a pasture for 45 years, where they weathered naturally and produced the awesome patina evident in our Courthouse Treasures. Kinda ironic to get a pot pipe from the courtroom!

Correction: the Edmonton Courthouse was built in 1912 and torn down in 1972 to make way for the new Woodwards store. The courtroom banisters were salvaged and stacked in a pasture to weather for 45 years, which produced the awesome patina evident in our Courthouse Treasures.
